Service Trust1

Trust

Establishing a therapeutic relationship is a vital step in the recovery process and for the relationship to be productive, trust is key. A person seeking a therapist must trust that his or her therapist has the knowledge, skill set, and desire to provide appropriate care.

Journey

The six stages of counselling, relationship building, evaluation, feedback, goal setting, intervention, and termination form the basic counselling structure, regardless of the type of therapeutic form the therapist chooses to practice.

Service Focus

Focus

Specialisation on anxiety, inner conflict, hopelessness, relationships, depression and career / business counselling. I am using an integrated therapy approach that combines Person Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Narrative Therapy approaches.

Approach

A therapeutic approach is the theory by which a counsellor frames how we view human relationships and the issues that occur for people throughout their lives. One way to think of a therapeutic approach is that it is the lens that a therapist looks through when they are considering and addressing the problem.
